About Our New York Online 5-Hour Pre-Licensing Course
The New York 5-Hour Online Pre-Licensing Course teaches you the knowledge and skills you need to become a safer, more responsible driver. This 100 % online 5-hour program meets the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYSDMV) requirements for pre-licensing education. New drivers who are at least 18 years old with a learner’s permit are eligible to take the Online Pre-Licensing Course. All junior drivers holding Class DJ or MJ permits are not permitted to register for this New York Online Pre-Licensing Course.
By actively participating in, and completing this Online Pre-Licensing Course, new drivers will learn safe driving skills to improve their driving behavior. By learning to share the roadway courteously and safely, new drivers reduce their incidence of traffic violations and crashes, which in turn, decreases the risks for all users of New York State roadways.
Course Completion Confirmation to the DMV and Registering for a Road Test Online
What is great about this online course, is that your successful course completion will be reported/ confirmed electronically to the DMV. The course completion may take up to 48 hours to be posted on your driver’s record. Once posted, you will be permitted to register either online or via a phone call to the DMV, for a road test to obtain your driver’s license.
